DMCA Policy

ChaseMe respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for addressing copyright infringement claims.

1. Copyright Infringement Claims

ChaseMe complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement. If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied or posted on ChaseMe in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a DMCA takedown notice.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must provide the following information in writing:

  1. Physical or Electronic Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of Copyrighted Work: Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
  3. Identification of Infringing Material: Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on ChaseMe (URL or sufficient information to locate it).
  4. Contact Information: Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy Statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

3. Submitting Your Notice

4. Processing of Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  1. Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  2. Notify the user who posted the material of the takedown
  3. Provide the user with a copy of the notice and information about filing a counter-notice
  4. Document the notice and our response for our records

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement consenting to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or Delaware if outside the US) and that you will accept service of process from the complainant

6. Restoration of Content

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not notify us within 10-14 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the infringing activity, we may restore the removed content.

7. Repeat Infringers

ChaseMe maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. This includes:

  • Users who receive multiple valid DMCA takedown notices
  • Users who repeatedly post infringing content after restoration is denied
  • Users who abuse the DMCA process through fraudulent notices or counter-notices

8. Misrepresentation Warning

Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

Before filing a DMCA notice, please ensure you have a valid copyright claim and that the fair use doctrine does not apply.
